I have a rather strange question (Been Mac user for about 2 weeks now). Why is it that the pointer is always in the top left hand side of the screen when my PB turns on ? I dont mean to sound stupid (sorry if I do) but I noticed it and after using windows for years it is a subtle difference.

I think it's probably a hangup from the old Classic Mac days when the Apple menu used to be used a log more than on Mac OS X.

In any case, it is still a useful place for it to start out, being right on the menubar, and close to all the menu commands.

If in the middle of the screen, it's close to nothing useful, for most people's setups.
