Just went to check my pref's (to set my powerbook's screen to sleep after 1min) and I noticed that where an icon should be above CD & DVD there was nothing... just a space...

What gives? It's not annoying as I don't hardly touch those pref's (the options are still working fine, it's just the icon that's missing).

Just wondered if anyone else has come across a similar glitch in the GUI? Tried rebooting but no joy... But I did login as root and the icon is still there... so that's interesting

try deleting com.apple.preferencepanes.cache from your home/library/caches folder.

Damn that's weird... now it's back again! Did no deleting... but should it happen again i'll try that tip, thank you...
