Oddly enough, the my Airport Extreme card in my iBook G4 doesn't connect when it wakes up anymore. Despite there being 3 trust networks nearby and in range, I have to manually select one of the basestations from my airport menu.

Any idea?

Try resetting the By Default, join: a specific network preference in the Network preferences pane.
