I have a Cube, moderately modified, and my firewire bus has disappeared under my primary OS (10.2.8), but when I reboot into 10.3.5, or 9,(all on separate partitions) all is well. This happened sometime between the last Software update and now. I only use my firewire bus occasionally, as it is connected to an external 250g WD drive in an IOGear enclosure (through a powered Belkin hub) that I use as a storage area for all of my AAC files for iTunes. I fired up the drive the other day to get ready to test my new Roku M1000, but it refused to show up. ASP shows no devices, TTP4 shows no devices, and booting into open firmware and resetting all did nothing. I then rebooted into 10.3.5,(I do not use 10.3.5 as my primary OS because some conflict I cannot figure out prevents my display from sleeping, but I can manually put the machine to sleep.) and the drive showed up! I also created a new user account under 10.2.8, and logged in under said account, but it was the same result, no devices would show up.

Is there a preferences file somewhere I can edit or delete, or must I reinstall Jaguar, and all updates? That would be a pain!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!
Somewhere out there is my sanity..... but I'm not looking for it!

It's likely a corrupt/missing kernel extension. If you have a working install somewhere of 10.2.8, you can copy over the kernel extensions.

ACSA 10.4/10.3, ACTC 10.3, ACHDS 10.3
