Keyboard shortcut to bring up finder?

If I'm in an app and want to bring the finder to the front, is there a keyboard shortcut other than command tab?

Imac Core Duo 1.83/1.5 GB/20 inch cinema, ibook G4 1 ghz

Use expose? (If you have a finder window open, that is) There's no special command to bring the finder to the front, though. It gets the same treatment as any open application.
