Hi

I finally decided to leave iMovie to adopt Final Cut Express. But I had several crashes so far and I am starting to doubt again about the reliability of the apple editing programs ...


So when it crashes after a few manipulations like when I try different transitions in a row ... It crashes and I have this message when they propose to send my comments to Apple :

Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0002) at 0x00000003

Can someone tell me what I should do to avoid this ?

My config is : dual 867 G4, 1Gig or RAM, 80 GB HD, completely resinstalled 3 weeks ago.

Sounds like you've got faulty hardware; perhaps ram.

They do some statistical analysis and then fix the most common crashers I guess.

If you'd post the full crash log it might give some hint where the problem lies.
