Are there CLI tools for handling connecting and disconnecting dial-up via PPP? I need to turn an iMac into sort of a dial-up router. I have a cheapo wireless router I'm going to attach to it. So I figure, if there are CLI tools for dial-up control, I can just whip up a page in PHP that I can host on the iMac, that way, once your on the wireless network, you can just type 192.168.0.1, get to the iMacs page, and dial on up through that.

%man pppd
Code:
NAME pppd - Point to Point Protocol daemon SYNOPSIS pppd [ tty_name ] [ speed ] [ options ] DESCRIPTION The Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) provides a method for transmitting datagrams over serial point-to-point links. PPP is composed of three parts: a method for encapsulating datagrams over serial links, an extensible Link Control Protocol (LCP), and a family of Network Control Protocols (NCP) for establishing and configuring different network- layer protocols. The encapsulation scheme is provided by driver code in the kernel. Pppd provides the basic LCP, authentication support, and an NCP for establishing and configuring the Internet Protocol (IP) (called the IP Control Protocol, IPCP). ...
You might also take a look at this guide for FreeBSD which describes how to connect using the command line. Some of the syntax in OSX is a bit different, you need to put configuration lines in the /etc/ppp/options file instead of ppp.conf (I think).
