Hey everyone,
I guess someone of you might be able to help me. Standing here is a beige G3 233 with two serial ports and a printer that needs to be connected via these ports.

However, I have 10.2 installed. I have read that 10.2 does not support the ports on this machine, but isn't there a third-party utility to make this work?

If not, would 10.3 change the situation?

Thanks in advance,
Steve

The only thing I know of that OSX supports serial ports for is modems. Back before my Beige G3 died, I used to run with exactly that kind of setup. The XServe has serial ports also (though of a different type), but it uses them only for sysadmin tasks.
You are in Soviet Russia. It is dark. Grue is likely to be eaten by YOU!

I don't think it will, look at getting a cheap USB printer.

i've got a beige 233 as well. Along with the floppy drive, the serial ports aren't
supported under os x. pretty annoying, but what can you do aside from dual
boot. (except bitch)
