A problem plaguing me for years, thought it would go away with G5 just got remains.
I burn cd's or DVD's and then on the desktop is "untitled CD" sitting right next to the cd I just burned. If I burn 3 cd's there will be my three cds and three "untitled cds"

Am I the only one with this issue. I've posted this before to no avail.

What version of Toast are you using and what settings in the creation of the CD?

For DVD's using Toast 6.0.5

But for CDrs I'm using a small program called Codex, which is a little bit faster than Toast.

I get the problem with both.

This has happened to me too...always happens to me. OS X 10.3.5, PowerBook G4 Aluminum. Annoying, but not the end of the world.

In the CD/DVD system preference pane, choose to "ignore" when you put in a blank CD or DVD.. I think that will stop that from happening.

If you don't use desktop CD burning, try going to System Preferences => CD & DVDs and for 'When you insert a blank CD' select 'Ignore' instead.

Does that fix it?

Oh dear, someone just beat me to it!

Only problem with that is that nothing mounts to desktop right? You never get to see your media on the desktop??

You can't have it both ways. Make a decision.

Is this just a complaint about the fact that sometimes the user will forget to rename the CD before burning it?
