Lately when I try to download something off, say versiontracker, I will get the message:

---------------------------------------------------
Safari can't open the page.

The error was: "localized string not found"
(WebKitErrorDomain:203)

---------------------------------------------------

How can I fix this?

Did you at one point use Safari 1.3 and downgrade to Safari 1.2? I experienced the same problem and that was the reason. My solution was to upgrade back to 1.3.. Possibly there is an easier way, but I was unable to find it.

My apologies. I made the test string too long and therefore it did not format correctly. Here now is the correct link: <http://www.benjohnson.ca/mt-archives/2004/06/05/my_solution_to_web_kits_localized_string_not_found .html>.

That works if you remove the space after 2004/06/05.

Thanks.

I'm looking to remove 1.3 too, but the link is not working.
Take care,

Yea you suck at links

I had Safari 1.3 and downgraded to 1.2. Everything works for me, but I keep getting the text "localized string not found" everywhere.
