I have a USB Microsoft optical mouse hooked up to my newest model G4 Powerbook. Whenever I wake the PB up from sleep mode, the mouse stops responding and I have to unplug and reinsert the mouse. This happens no matter which USB port the mouse is plugged into. It also happened using the default Mac OS X drivers and the latest Microsoft mouse drivers. Any help would be appreciated.

for a start, try another mouse...to see where the problem is.
do other usb peripherals work alright??

my roommate had a similar problem: an "archive&install" fixed it.

but explore other possibilities first...
