I am taking classes at a university, and in my course they use Blackboard for communication. I can get around most of the Blackboard system, but I cannot seem to be able to log into the Virtual Classroom section.

Is anyone else using Virtual Classrooms Java Chat rooms under OSX? What browser did you get it to work with? Did you have to install anything extra other than the standard stuff in OSX?

I keep getting the following Java Warning right before the Chat Java Plug-in could load...
"Java Plug-in Applet Installation Warning: I/O Exception - abort Applet
installation."

I really need to get this working, thanks,

I can't even find the virtual classroom option in Blackboard. Maybe our colleges are running different versions.

Maybe, but it is also possible that some classes just do not have that option enabled. Not every class would have it available...

Well, after some testing it does kind of work now... half the time, using Safari.

It takes time to load, and it does not load on all networks. It seems that it is fine here on campus, and at home, but at some other places I tried it at it just would not load...

Pain in the butt either way, but works now.
