Hi,

have trashed accidentally my "basesystem.pkg" file. So the disc utility cannot repair permissions....Apple states, that it can be copied from another machine running 10.3.5

Can anyone running 10.3.5 send me his copy of the "basesystem.pkg"......right now
I am sitting here in China and cannot get it elsewise.

The file can be found in the library/receipts/basesystem.pkg.

You can find BaseSystem.pkg in System/Installation/Packages on the first OS X install CD/DVD. It uses an IFPkgFlagAltSourceLocation, so it doesn't actually contain any files, and thus it's pretty much the same as the receipt that it generates. You should just be able to copy it over using the Finder.

Let this be a lesson to ye: DO NOT DELETE RANDOM FILES.
