As a newcomer to Macs I may be doing something stupid here - so any help much appreciated. I recently dragged a game into the dock & now find that I cannot remove it from the dock. I have tried dragging it out, but all I get is a "See in Finder" message. The same happens when I try to drag out any of the original pre-loaded applications (I have made sure that I have quit the applications before dragging them).I have also tried deleting the game in question, but the problem remains.Can anyone suggest any solutions please?

If the popup menu appears, you're holding down the mouse for too long. All you need to do is literally drag the icon off the dock.
