Does anyone have any ideas what could have happened to my copy of iChat?

It no longer sees my FireWire webcam - it just shows black.

Other QT apps can use the camera:

I have tried reinstalling iChat - but no joy.

Has anyone seen this before?
You know it makes sense. ☼ ☼ ☼ Growl.

Why does this work? Any ideas or is it just some fluke? Just curious.
