I've done some searching on this but haven't found a solution. I have a lacie external cd-rw drive connected to my G5. Ideally, I'd like to be able to do what I used to do with my G4 which had 2 internal cd drives which is to hit option f12 or something like that to open the drive. Is there a way to do this? I've seen apps that will eject a mounted drive (cd already in the drive) but I want something where I don't have to touch the cd drive at all...as in the case of the drive being empty and I want to insert a disc. I liked on my G4 the fact that the eject icon automatically appeared in the menu bar which gave me the ability to open and close either of the two drives, and of course I was also able to use f12 and opt f12. Any ideas on getting this to work?
