My Dad recently upgraded to 10.3.5 on an iMac 400 DV - the Address Book has crashed. I tried to import some addresses from Outlook Express OS9 for him but found it difficult (not like forums and people have said: just import it.. etc etc) Going a round about way I made a .vcf file from OS X Entourage and tried to import that - only to find the address book app is now corrupt (spinning wheel when you open it). I tried re-installing from installer disks (10.3) but it's still a prob. Is there a pref I should get rid of that is not part of address book (as I did that already). Also having probs with Helvetica - runs Suitcase and it has often says a clash is happening between system fonts and Suitcase fonts. I think it's down to this personally. I have heard of the Helvetica.dfont issue where some apps need it. I use a Mac where this font has been removed and Suitcase takes care of all fonts but a few and all works smoothly. Any ideas?? Is Font Book worth using as only a limited amount of fonts is needed on his machine really!

This one has stumped me!

It is a font thing. Don't ever mess with the system Helvetica- you can make iTunes, Address book and DVD Studio Pro all unusable if you mess with Helvetica.
OS X: Where software installation doesn't require wizards with shields.
