Since they have upgraded .Mac disk space to 250mg. Now every time I wake up to work - I get an error that my idisk size on my machine is smaller than my .Mac account - and please wait while it's adjusted. Restart doesn't work - I don't see anyway to adjust the properties manually - How do I get this message to stop?

I'd quit the local disks, go to .Mac . accounts and adjust the sizes as you want them, then go back in and reload the local iDisks. May need to doublecheck settings if you use Backup or sync to your iDisk.

I confirm. Disconnect and reconnect.

Guys,
Can any one give me a step by step to do that...
- How do I quit local disks
- How do I go to my .Mac accounts
- How do I reload local iDisks...
When I installed 10.3, I made it the defealt feature to sync with iDisk... How do I uncheck it...
Thanks for your help.

"Quit" your local iDisk, what does that mean?
Even if you readjust the iDisk size in the .mac settings, you may still have an error regarding the actual size of the local iDisk.
The solution is to recreate the local iDisk.
Inside the library folder in your home folder there is a folder called mirrors, where the local idisk information is stored. It will be a .dmg file with the name of your .mac account.
Rename the Mirrors folder into something else.
Restart your computer.
The computer will then rebuild/resync the iDisk, and when it is done, it will reflect the new size.

I have just done it. They say to wait 24 hours to switch the sync back on. I will let you know.
Thanks for your help.

I have two .Mac accounts that each had 1 GB for iDisk space. A received e-mails from the .Mac group to tell me that I would be upgraded to 1.2 GB for these accounts, but that was over a week ago and there is no change to the amount of space. I never had turned on the local disk synchronization, so deselecting this option did not apply in my case. I only mount the iDisk when I need it, once or twice a day. I've written twice to .Mac -- the first time, they suggested turning off the local disk, but I haven't heard back from them since I replied that this was not a solution for me. I'm running 10.3.5.

redrockdes, at the .Mac site in the account section you can now split/assign your total storage space between iDisk and e-mail. Did you have a look there to see what the total is you got and how it is split between iDisk and e-mail?

Thanks for letting me know about this! I didn't know that .Mac allocated 200 MB to e-mail use by default. I have now adjusted this and the correct amount of storage is showing up.

Even after I' realloted my idisk size and "quit" my iDisk (disconnected) I wasn't able to get the correct size until I rebuilt it. But now everything is fineŠ
