They just gave me a new G5 here at work and the tech guy did a carbon copy of the whole drive onto the G5. I wish he hadnt but its too late now. Anyways, I tried starting up the G5 and Im getting the folder with the ? in it. I check the drive and the system is on there but it cant find it. Is there a way to select the system folder? I already tried holding OPTION on start up but nothing came up.

The option key will allow you to select the drive, partition and the OS to boot from. Possibly you didn't invoke the key soon enough?

Holding down option only works if you have an OS installed on different partitions or different drives. If you have OS 9 and OS X installed on the same partition, it won't work.
