Why is it that I have 250 megs of space, of which NONE is used, but when i go to put a movie in my Public folder it says I dont have enough free space? This is aggrivating me. I have synched it and synced it until I am tired of it. I cant get the space it needs. What am i doing wrong?

I just paid for my account last night and have been trying since then.

The 250MB of iDisk is initially split 50-50 with email. ie... 125 for storage and another 125 for email. How much space does it show in the iDisk system prefs pane and how big is the movie you are trying to upload?

Maybe try turning off the local iDisk and syncing stuff. Then upload the movie directly.

First, remember that the iDisk isn't stupid. It just does what it's programmed to. Secondly, have you turned off your local iDisk since the upgrade as well as going into .mac . accounts and adjusting the size you wish to allot to iDisk and Mail, then gone back in and turned your local iDisk back on? Then tried to upload your movie?
