Question. Are there any haxies that make finder a one button click to open? Like the dock is a one click thing why not give the option on the interface? I use a wacom tablet and it would help alot with one click.

Also can Expose can hacked to leave the windows small but editable? Like somne bugs in Window shades will let you still edit text if the cursor is blinking in text edit. Haveing the computer resize windows like that couldmake some muliti window apps very clean and usefull..

How would a user select an item without opening it?

in OS 9 there was an option to turn finder icons into buttons. i don't think it was functionally useful.

click and drag a lasso around it like normal.

I loved it except the ugly button icons it created. Simple finder has it but there seems to be no way to extract it.
