Why would it not load a dvd-r on my computer?

is there a way to make it load it?

I had the same problem with some DVDs I made with iDVD. They worked fine on the Mac where they were created and they played ok on my standalone DVD player. But they would not play on any of my other Macs. Data backups using the same media would also not work on any other Mac except the original.

I started using a better quality media (Verbatim) and now the DVDs I make work everywhere.

AFAIK, if your Mac refuses to recognize a DVD, there is no way to force it.

nooo i paid $40 bucks for Medal of Honor Deluxe Edition and the things is usless . OH Some company not going to get a happy call

What are the hardware and OS specs for the Mac you are having problems with?

i cant get it to load the dvd. its a dvd r and mine says dvd rom so i guess im 1 drive short. is there a program that will let it load anyways? its just files. I want it to work.
