how can i do this?

my friend wants to "turn off" wireless access from her son's powerbook; she'd like to control when he uses the internet (btw, am not taking sides on this, but she says that's all he does).

she finds him on the neighbors network (when she unplugged her base station!)


set him up as a non-admin user? or..?

suggestions?

take out his airport card?

or

set him up as a non-admin user and then login to his account and go to network preferences and turn off airport.
show [network port configurations]
uncheck airport.

then click the lock in the bottom hand corner of the network window.
i have not tested this, but he *should* need an admin password to unlock that preference and turn on his airport.

uh, but...she wants airport there, just under her control.
so removing & installing the card is not a great idea...

probably will set her up as admin.
