Hey guys looking for a little help. It seems that the key f9 f10 and f11 for Exposé dont do any thing. I have tried opening serval Safari windows and tried to cycle through them. Is there something I am missing?

it should work just fine on a laptop (works on mine).
BUT if those F keys have other assigned functions (volume, brightness, etc.) you may need to hold down the "FN" key (lower left corner) to get them to work properly.
You can also try trouble shooting by looking in your system preferences and setting up expose to work with (e.g.) a hot corner and seeing if things work that way...
Just one last thought: G3 400 = ibook? or pismo? - I didn't think expose required anything particularly huge in terms of graphic chips (works ok on my TiBook 500's Rage128), but if it's a really old graphics chip, maybe it cant handle expose...

ok fn+ f9 and fn+ 10 drop both open Safari pages so I can see what they are. Fn+ f11 hide all open windows.
Is this the normal for Exposé ?

It's normal if you have "Use the F1-F12 keys for custom actions checked" under:
System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse > Keyboard Tab

What each key should do:
F9 - show all windows (in all applications)
F10 - show all windows in the current application (greying out windows from other applications)
F11 - show the desktop
They're great to use with hot corners to (e.g) - find album artwork in a browser, drag it from the browser widow, to a hot corner, to a little version of the iTunes window, (which after a second or two will maximize), to the artwork well for a specific song or album.

Or go in to System Preferences > Expose and adjust the settings to what you want.
