Dropping Characters.

I'm dropping charachters out of any system text. It looks like this: Wh t T Hell I Gng On Hre?!

What is going on here? Not only this, but I've had applications forget which files they launch for, and overall system slowdown and application stability issues. I've run a program called System Optimizer, I've also done Permission Repair, Emptied Caches etc.

Any Ideas whats going on with my system? I'd hate to have to go the traditional windows nuke and reinstall route.


Specs: 800 Mhz iBook, 10.3.5, 640 mb ram, 14gb free hd space.

Try zapping PRAM. It worked for me when I lost my capital I.
