A couple of days ago my G4 Yikes! failed during user switching. (OS 10.3)When I try to reboot,I get the Apple logo and the window that says 'loading printer services, etc. The final load process shows 'starting login window' or something close to that. Then after about 10 seconds, the screen turns blue for about a minute then I am presented with an all black terminal screen. It allows me to login....but then I'm stuck...

Is there a command line that will bring back my GUI?

Thanks in advance for any help, Randall

Repair your permissions, e. g. with the install CD.
