Yesterday as i check the Activity Monitor i see an unknown user doing an operation called "mDNSResponder". It is the only other user besides me and root. Is it normal? What is mDNSResponder" operation? I don't know much about UNIX so i wonder if someone knows about this. I don't like seing an alien user in the activity window, and i'm afraid it might be a back orifice but maybe i'm just paranoid!
In OS X 10.3.6, that process user is under 'nobody'. This is used by Rendevous and Rendezvous enables networking and service discovery over the IP networking protocol.
