I just copied a bunch of music burned as lossless..copied into iTunes' music folder, yet iTunes isn't seeing it.

then, when I drag the folders of music into iTunes left hand pane, iTunes says it's "copying" the files!

I don't want to end up with music here, music there, music everywhere..just one spot where itunes looks, and plays my music.

thoughts?

iTunes doesn't check for music. You always have to add it manually, unless you ripped it with iTunes to begin with.

The best thing to do in your situation would be to leave the files on the desktop or wherever, add them to iTunes (which will copy them into the proper place in your iTunes Music Folder), and then throw away the originals on the desktop.

By the way, this is the wrong forum for your question. Software questions go in the Software forum.
