I've recently lost all the icons on the right of the menu bar. When I reset them in system preferences they do not reappear and the preference is lost when I return to it. I've repaired permissions in disk utility and repaired the disk from CD. The problem still occurs in all users. I'm runnig 10.3.6 on an ibook, but no extra menu bar programmes (and no Norton apps). When I try to delete files in Library Cache I can't delete them.
Any ideas how to get the icons back? Thanks. Bill

Well, I've just tried the 10.3.6 combo update. That has resored the menu icons, but I can't now 'click and drag' anything in any programme. is this a 10.3.6 issue or something else? Anyone with similar problems? Bill
