OK I broke down and updated from 10.3.4 thursday night to 10.3.6.

I ran cocktail and Disk utility first, Then applied the 10.3.5 Combo updater, ran disk utility again and installed 10.3.6 combo updater, followed by disk utility again, then restarted.

Everything seemed OK.

On Friday I used my Machine (1.8DP G5 1.5gb) Thats when I noticed things getting funky, Safari was taking a couple of enters or returns to pull up a page and mail started acting strange, (doubling the mailboxes in the drawer and crashing). by the end of the day neither wanted to connect through my network connection a switch hardwired to an airport hooked to a cable modem. Which has been flawless for the last 3 months.

I reverted to my dial up and all seems OK. So it doesn't like something in the network config since updating I guess.

How can I get my broadband happy again?

Here's what I have tried so far.

I tried running cocktail again for good measure. nothing
I have read around on the boards, and tried deleting the IPv6 address. nothing
I have installed safarinotimeout. nothing

Any Ideas would be appreciated.
I don't relish the idea of reinstalling the system that would be a last resort.

TIA

While I don't know what is causing your problem, in the future, you need only run the latest combo updater. In your instance, you didn't need to run the 10.3.5 before running 10.3.6 combo.

I would apply the 10.3.6 combo updater again, and try a different account, if you have one to see if the same problems exist. If they do, that indicates a system problem, if not, it is a user specific problem.
