Hello,

I would like to uninstall lynx but have no idea where to start to look for files to remove. I see the package reciept in the library directory. Where else should I look to remove the files. Or do i have to I not really worried about the files taking up storage space but just would like to remove it completly.

I heard that you can look at the reciept and it will tell you what was installed and where but how do i do that.

Sorry about the possible dumb question.

real
With some loud music + a friend to chat nearby you can get alot done. - but jezz, I'd avoid it if I had the choice---- If only real people came with Alpha Channels.......:)

hi,

well, the only lynx that i am aware of is a terminal based web-browser...

if, however, you are speaking of some application which used the standard apple installer, and so has left a package in the /Library/Receipts directory, there will be a file somewhere within that package with the extension of ".bom" (often, but not always, the file is called "Archive.bom"). this is a bill of materials file which you can view using the terminal command "lsbom". have a look at the man page.

cheers,

samthecat
