Spotlight and Entourage in Tiger

Will Spotlight work with Entourage, or only Apple'm mail program? Thsi si probably the most exciting thing for me in Tiger, but if it couldn't search through emails in Entourage that would seriously be disappointment. Has anyone with Tiger tried this yet? How about with other email programs.

I would assume that by default Spotlight will not search through Entourage emails, however if it were updated to make use of Spotlight, that would be a possibility

In Tiger Apple switched Mail to use a separate file per email, since Spotlight currently only works on individual files and can't look into a database type file. Entourage uses one file for everything, so nope.. sorry. It doesn't work.

Does anyone know Spotlight would support 3rd-party plug-in for 3rd-party developers to create plug-in for searching in their apps?

As disco_stu said, this has already been confirmed. I believe the hope is that developers will write Spotlight plugins for their own apps.
