Invisible to who? Even you while logged in? You can't access your home directory?

I remember when I made my OS 9 system folder invisible AND rebooted the machine without realising it.

I'm not sure if this would work, but have you tried repairing permissions?

If the problem is that the invisible bit is set, you can change the setting of the invisible bit with XRay (available at versiontracker.com).

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

you turned your home into invisible without knowing?
what did you do?
did you add a priod into the beginning of the name? or were you playing with somekind of utility that makes files invisible?
