Hi guys,

I installed Yellow Dog Linux 4 onto a spare partition in my HD. It boots up fine and I get all the boot screen and such. But I've decided I don't want to keep it. I figured if I formatted the drive I'd be fine, but I went into Disk Utility (in Panther) and it did not show the partition, probably due to the partition being formatted as efs (I think its that).

So basically, I want out. I'd like to eradicate YDL from that partition, and reformat that partition back into something OS X can read. Also, I realised the boot screen (where you choose either YDL or OS X) might get screwed up. Any ideas there too appreciated.

Thanks,
Oliver

Yea, YDL 4 is a pretty terrible distro. Sad we waited so eagerly & long for it.

Theres 2 things you can do: Use Volume Works or iPartition to delete the ext partitions, or

Make a restore image of your OS X partition, erase the drive, and write the image back.

I have no idea, but can't you just rerun the YDL installer and reformat efs as ext2 or another format Disk Utility will recognize?
