i was a peecee user for most of my life, and on my peecee i noticed that if i ever ran a resource intensive app during a disc burn session, the cd would either have ruined audio if it was a music cd, or data would be corrupted on a data cd.

being a mac user for about 2 years now, i still never burn a cd/dvd while running a heavy app, i.e. photoshop or a new game for example. i'm curious if os x handles this better than windows.

of course i do browse the web and run lite apps while burning, but it's the big apps that concern me. i'd love to be able to burn a dvd while i'm playing a game and have peace of mind knowing that the disc won't get screwed up. thanks
