Need a help with my .mac email-

I have been trying to fix my mail box because i couldn't delete anything from my sent folder and it is really frustrating. everytime i tried to fix - i had to "force quit" the mailbox.

See the picture below? I was wondering why do i have this? two trash bins and folders?
beho65 is my husband's father account (highlighted in pic below)- he was here last year to check his email on www with his comcast account on my mac and i don't know how it showed up on my mail account here but it's been there for a year already. Was wondering if i can delete it somehow? I can't seem to find a way to delete it...

or just delete my account and install .mac mail to start all over so that way my mail box can work properly, what do you think? good idea or no?

Thanks!

"right click" on mouse and delete these folders.. hope it works..

Off the point here: is it possible to delete the .mac email into trash and download the new one to start fresh all over again by using the same .mac email address?

Thanks

Go to the mail prefs and make sure that the account behoe65 had been deleted. Then you should be able to delete the folders.

If you are using .Mac mail as a ".mac" account or imap, and no other POP accounts and you save all your messages on the server, you should be able to delete your ~/Library/Mail/ folder and your ~Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist file and then just set your .Mac mail up again. That should fix any problems. Make sure you've got all your mail on the server first though. Look under Preferences/your account/Special Mailboxes and make sure they're all checked for storing on the server. Then make sure that any mailboxes you save mail in are not "On My Mac" in the drawer. Quit Mail, delete the folder and the file, and the n restart Mail.

good luck!

ps you'll have to redo any signatures etc...
pps ~ means home folder.

You can do the procedure I described above to "reset" the mail app... if that is what you mean... you won't loose any mail if you follow the steps above, just your prefs, rules and sigs etc.
