Last night my friend called me and said that in his pictures folder none of the images were locked but when he opened photoshop and tried to open a window it told him he didn't have permissions. He then went to one of the images and did a get info and it showed the owner as the non admin user. My friend did a get info on the pictures folder and went into permssions and changed it to him then did an apply to enclosed folders. It still didn't work. I had him repair permissions and still nothing. What I ended up doing was enabling root and having him log into root and get info on the admin users picture folder and apply the permissions to all enclosed items. that seemed to fix it. Could I have done it another way? Should I have just had him create another user, make it an admin do the same thing via that new user?
Any other hints to this would be helpful so I know for next time.
