I have a problem with "System Events" using a lot of CPU time. I am not exactly sure when it started happening, but now I have 100% CPU load most of the time non-stop and it makes the system very sluggish.
I also noticed now while looking at the activity monitor, that Safari has started to load the CPU more than it used to which explains why it freezes some times when selecting text.

Any one had a similar experience and found a solution. I am a recent switcher so I don't really konw my way around in OS X yet to do some proper system admin. As a long time Windows user, my first thought is re-install, but I was hoping to avoid that.

Thanks in advance.
