with 10.3.6, sometimes when use minimize all windows and i quickly switch programs (say from adium to safari), i will get that screen lag you see above (the clear message-angela thing). with 10.3.5 I never had this problem. I can fix it by Expose'ing again, but has anyone else experienced this or do I just have weird Expose style?

yes. re-expose usually is a quick fix..
