After repairing permissions and restarting, i still have a file "stuck" in the finder menu on the left. When clicking on the icon (or ctrl+clicking it), i get an error saying: "The alias 'file.zip' could not be opened, because the original item cannot be found". I am new to the Mac OS so i am not aware of any alternate methods of deleting that file (of removing it from the finder). Terminal command mabye? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Fixed it by re-downloading the file (partially) which let me drag it out. Yay for me

Unresolved aliases usually drag out ok on my machine. You probably didn't have to download it again. If you knew where the alias was pointing to, you could just have named a file in that place e.g. a text file.
