Hello All:

My iMac has been driving me nuts (see post below) and am exploring a osx software restore - if I were to do such a thing, what would happen to my other existing files (word, powerpoint, excell files, etc...) as well as other software applications (adobe, etc...) that I installed since purchasing the computer.

Thanks for any insights, and recommendations on doing this.
