I recently backed up my gf's PB 12" to my LaCie external drive. I used ChronoSync to copy files over, and they copied successfully (I checked manually afterwards).
I then ejected the external drive after checking the files were here, reinstalled the system clean from the Install CD.
Now that i remount the drive, the backup folder is not there!!!
What happened? The only thing I can think of is that she had FileVault on her home directory. Would that prevent copying of files, or maybe not allowing me access? I checked for hidden directories on the External drive with terminal, is there something else I can try? Another thing is that I manually created a backup folder on the drive, so even "if" the backup failed, that folder should not be gone??
