Is there some kind of utility out there (besides Printer Setup Repair, which is buggy beyond belief), that will let me pick and remove all uneeded printer drivers and PPDs on my system? All I need is a couple of HP drivers and that's it. I know I could probably do it manually, but I'd prefer not to.

Thanks!!!

Should be located in your computers library... Look there...

(HD Name)>Library>Printers>

Then drag to the trash what you don't need.

Cheers!

someone should make an app similar to the 'monolingual' apps, lot's of the printer drivers have names unconnected to the printer names, yes if you have a HP printer you could trash all the 'non-HP' drivers. But that would still leave you with a bunch of unrequired drivers.

I agree... No app comes to mind that could do this... Looks like a manual process.

The REAL trick of course, is to NOT install them in the first place. This can be accomplished in the installer, by using the custom install option, and UN-checking the drivers (& foreign languages too) that you dont need

So if by chance you are ready for a system re-install, you could go that route. But uninstalling them is simply a matter of dragging them to the trash......
Signatures are ugly. Bitchy women are ugly......YOU do the math :)
