I've poked around a bit looking for this info without luck..anyone know when Tiger's due for release?
Both of my Macs are coming due for a rebuild, which is an all-day sucker, and if we're pretty close to Tiger, I'd rather not do that twice in close proximity.
thanks!

This is definitely all that's been said officially so far.
We'll likely find out more precisely (perhaps even a release date) at MWSF

The closest anyone has heard is "the first half of 2005". It is commonly thought that a more specific date will be announced at the MacWorld San Francisco conference in January, but this is not certain.

LIke other said "first half of 2005" I'm going to predict that IF it is annouced at MWSF that it will be sometime in March and probably on the 24th. Most if not all the OS X releases have been on or close to that date of the 24th. I think it'll be released in March or April. I don't think they want to push it further than that.

Yes - but if you're interested in unfounded rumors/predictions I'm going to go with Apple's consistently late track record in the past year and say "July 14th"

or end of Q12005 - that pretty much appeared to be an internal guess/error though (somebody put Q1 instead of H1); not a release date.
