I have a stupid icon on the top right side of my screen, where the clock is on the left side of it... and this icon is used for opening and closing the superdrive (place i put cds and dvds). I do not want it there, and it just got on there recently... plz help me take it off... thanks alot!!!

never mind, i figured it out by just clickin everywhere like crazy.... the only thing i had to do what press apple(command)+click, and drag it out, as if it was in the dock..... although im surprised right click dragging did not work...

I don't think there's any place on Windows or Mac where dragging is performed with the right button, since the right button -- if it does anything at all -- always brings up the contextual menu.

You could have also turned the icon off via Systen Preferences.

I couldn't find this option anywhere in System Preferences? I thought perhaps he was using this:

Er, except Windows Explorer? Granted, it is probably the most bass-ackwards GUI technique I've ever seen.

very interesting, looked and worked just like versiontracker... but ive never downloaded version tracker, and noone else uses this computer.........

Wait. Just to clarify:

"versiontracker" is a software download site.

in fact, if you are looking for any and every kind of software to give you functionality you find to be missing, look first at http://www.versiontracker.com and http://www.macupdate.com .
