hi there,

i've got a fair few external hard drives, and for various reasons I've decided I need to encrypt the contents.

however, having assessed the need actually doing it is something I'm wondering about. the only way I could think of to do it was to create disk images on the hard drive, of the same size as each hard drive (say less 1gb so each hard drive isn't full) then load the stuff onto that.

what do you think? any other suggestions most welcome!

Haven't tried them myself, but SubRosa soft has disk and file encryption utilities.
