I just got my ipod photo and have noticed that the icons that are on the desktop disappear when the ipod updates. Is there a way to have the icons stay permanent on the desktop??? Also, when the ipod goes through various actions (disconnect, etc..) how would I go about changing the icons for that? Cause I have some icons that I would like to use.

Thanks

YOu could probably just do an get info and change the desktop icon for the iPod the other icons you might need something like candybar to replace.

The iPod automatically unmounts when updated, you can go into iTunes -> Preferences -> iPod -> General and enable hard disk use, you will then have to unmount the iPod when you want to disconnect it.
