i have a dual boot G4 (OS9 and OSX)...really i have no reason for the OS9 software to be in my system so i was wondering if there was a way for me to remove it and all of its components and free up some drive space?

Drag the OS9 system folder to the trash and empty the trash (along with OS9 apps you still have). Done.
