For some reason, there is about a 2x3 inch area in the bottom left of my screen that I can't click on. For example, if I'm in MS Word, and I try to click on a word that's in that area, nothing happens. Or if I'm using some program and some button is in that area, I can't click on it. Or if I'm in my browser and a link is in that area, nothing happens when I click on it. Basically, that little area of space on my screen won't "read" clicks when the mouse pointer is in it. Any ideas why this could be?

Are you using Onyx or TinkerTool?

Both both Onyx and TinkerTool enable you to use a hidden feature of Exposé: "minimize desktop to a box." There have been numerous reports that enabling this hidden feature causes a "dead" area on the screen. The dead area corresponds to the box in which desktop items are minimized if F11 is pressed to access the desktop under Exposé.

If you are using Onyx or TinkerTool, do not enable the hidden "minimize desktop to a box" feature of Exposé. If you are experiencing a dead spot on the screen and use these tools, select a different option in the tool for accessing the desktop in Exposé.

The latest version of TinkerTool warns that "minimize desktop to a box" is problematic.
Good Luck!
