Today I tried updating my iMac G5 to 10.3.7, Software Update failed, so I downloaded the standalone installer. That wouldn't mount, so I tried restarting. But instead of the login window I got nothing but a blue screen. I tried clicking around a bit and realized that the login window was there, just not visible (if I clicked in just the right spot, I could hit the invisible Sleep button).

Then, all of a sudden, I got THIS...

Is my video card totally screwed? I shut it off and am hoping that if I just wait a few minutes, this will all go away. Like it never happened. Please.

OK, for whoever it may help...

I decided to rely on more than prayer and it seems to have paid off. I zapped the PRAM and everything seems to be fine.
